Visuals reflect a company’s identity and design is the most important first impression. Your clients will not wait around for a good product or service when your site is visually slow or confusing. Your potential customers will not take the time to appreciate your offerings if your web design is overwhelming.

Your business might want to become fully transparent for clients, offering all the information you can. However, if you overload your web design with all of the information you have, then presentation of your offerings will be overwhelming. This design will push customers away before they can see why your business is advertised the way it is.

Design is most effective when you know your clientele and your audience well enough to find out the right way to present your information related to the business. Clear and expressive web design can change your business’ wall of technical information to a “read more” which is less overwhelming and more effective. Keep in mind your wall of information is design along your architecture. Design is meant to contain only relevant pieces. Everything else is just clutter that obstructs customer goals.

Psychology has a role here, too. For example, the shape of a button affects the rate of clicks. Rounded corners are perceived as more welcoming. A border with angles is perceived as a sharp edge. The goal should be to design a call to action that is logical. If a call to action is perceived as a sales pitch, while a sharp edge provides nothing of value, like a free sample or a free trial, expect your potential customers to leave the site.

Our focus is on designs that are attractive and fast, and most importantly, designs that serve the function of guiding the user on what to do next, whether that is to make a phone call, fill out a form, or make a purchase.
